NetBrain currently does not allow users to configure a specific dashboard as the default page displayed immediately after login. This enhancement would let administrators or users select a summary dashboard or any other dashboard as the default landing page upon signing in. This capability would benefit customers who want executives or managers to see key operational data immediately after login, without needing to navigate to the dashboard manually each session.
Intent Dashboards currently support widgets based on alert conditions, such as identifying interfaces generating high utilization alerts, but cannot display the underlying parsed variable values themselves, such as actual interface input/output rates. This enhancement would allow parsed variables from Network Intents to be selected as data sources for dashboard widgets, enabling display of raw metric values alongside alert-based indicators. Customers monitoring critical infrastructure would gain more complete visibility into operational metrics without needing to build separate reporting workarounds.
Intent Dashboards today cannot use parsed variable values, such as an SNMP contact field, to group or break down widget data. This enhancement would allow dashboard widgets to reference variables captured through Network Intents, so results can be aggregated or filtered by a variable value, such as team ownership or device attribute. Supporting variables in dashboards would let customers build more granular compliance and status reporting, such as showing compliant and non-compliant device counts organized by the responsible team, without requiring manual data manipulation outside the platform.
NetBrain currently does not provide a RESTful API method to retrieve the full list of configured shared network SNMP credentials, including SNMP read and privilege credentials that are not actively assigned to any device. Users can only query which shared credentials are in use by specific devices, leaving no way to programmatically audit the complete credential set. This enhancement would add an API endpoint to list all shared network SNMP credentials configured in a domain, regardless of device assignment. Customers automating credential audits and compliance checks would benefit from complete visibility into configured credentials without relying on manual review through the user interface.
NetBrain currently does not display annotation options, such as stencils and callouts, on the top-level Master Site Map, even though these tools are available on container and leaf site maps. This inconsistency limits the ability to add visual context or notes directly on the highest-level network view. This enhancement would extend the existing annotation toolbar to the top-level Master Site Map, aligning its capabilities with other map levels. Providing consistent annotation support across all map levels would improve documentation clarity and give customers a uniform editing experience regardless of map hierarchy position.
Network Intent checks currently do not support validating whether a given input value, such as a VLAN ID, falls within an allowed list that combines individual values and ranges (for example, 1-5,7,9-12,13,28,128). Users must rely on manual or basic comparison operators that cannot express range-based membership. This enhancement would add a check type that accepts a mixed list of discrete values and ranges, and evaluates whether the input value is present within that defined set. Customers performing compliance or configuration validation would be able to define allowed value sets efficiently and receive accurate pass/fail results without building complex workarounds.
When exporting diagnosis results to CSV from the dashboard, the export currently includes all historical data with no option to limit the scope. This enhancement proposes adding a selection option to export only the last execution or a user-specified time range. This would reduce file size and eliminate the need for manual post-export filtering, saving time for customers who only need recent or targeted diagnostic data.
Dashboard Report columns currently have a fixed width that cannot be adjusted by the user, which limits the ability to view the full content of a cell when the data exceeds the visible column space. This enhancement would allow users to manually resize column widths within the Dashboard Report interface. Providing this capability would improve readability and usability for customers reviewing dashboard data with longer or variable-length content.
NetBrain currently allows Diagnosis Results to be exported manually as a CSV file from a Dashboard, but scheduled Dashboard email notifications do not support including this CSV as an attachment. This enhancement proposes adding an option, when configuring Dashboard email notifications, to automatically attach the exported Diagnosis Results CSV to the notification email. This would allow customers running scheduled diagnostic tasks to receive results directly via email without needing to log in and export the data manually, improving efficiency for teams monitoring recurring diagnostic outputs.
When creating a new device group using the Static, Dynamic Search, or Exclude options, the Select dialog for choosing devices or interfaces does not support full RegEx pattern matching. Users are limited to basic filtering and cannot construct precise expressions to target device or interface subsets. This enhancement proposes adding full RegEx search capability to these Select dialogs across all three device group creation methods, for both device and interface selection. Customers managing large or complex environments would gain a more precise and efficient way to build device groups without relying on manual selection or workarounds.
NetBrain currently provides no visibility into the progress or status of an Intent execution triggered from an Automated Data Table (ADT). Users must manually rebuild the table to determine whether results are complete, which becomes impractical for large ADTs with many devices. This enhancement would add a status or progress indicator that reflects the execution state of each Intent triggered from an ADT, allowing users to monitor completion without repeatedly rebuilding the table. This would reduce wait time and uncertainty for users running large-scale preventive automation checks, particularly in environments with sizable device inventories.
NetBrain currently requires administrators to manually lock the Shared Device Settings flags for each device after discovery completes, with no option to apply this automatically. This enhancement would introduce a configuration option to automatically lock Shared Device Settings once a device is successfully discovered. This would reduce manual administrative effort and help ensure device configuration settings remain protected immediately after discovery without requiring follow-up action.
NetBrain currently does not provide a way to automatically copy or sync saved maps to an external cloud storage location. This enhancement would allow maps to be automatically saved to a customer-configured Azure Blob Storage container whenever they are created or updated within NetBrain. Customers would benefit from an additional layer of backup and off-platform retention for their network maps without requiring manual export steps.
NetBrain Incident Quick Access currently does not display a reference to the associated ServiceNow incident or ticket number. This enhancement would add the ServiceNow ticket number as a visible field within the Incident Quick Access interface. Surfacing this reference would allow users to quickly correlate NetBrain incidents with their corresponding ServiceNow records, improving cross-tool traceability during incident investigation.
NetBrain Change Management currently does not support executing configuration changes through API-driven firewall management platforms such as FortiManager, Palo Alto Panorama, and Cisco Firepower Management Center. As a result, customers managing firewalls through these centralized platforms cannot leverage CM automation and must rely on manual, out-of-band change processes for these devices. This enhancement would extend Change Management to integrate with the APIs of FortiManager, Panorama, and Firepower Management Center, allowing changes to be pushed and tracked through these platforms in the same manner as other supported device types. This would give customers consistent, automated change workflows across multi-vendor firewall environments, reducing manual effort and improving change tracking and compliance for security infrastructure.
