NetBrain currently generates a log entry only when a device suspends due to an SSH failure, and this log does not capture configuration retrieval failures or include a recovery entry when the underlying issue is resolved. As a result, external monitoring and incident management systems that consume these logs cannot reliably auto-close incidents once connectivity or configuration retrieval is restored. This enhancement proposes expanding device event logging to include configuration retrieval failure details alongside SSH failures, and to generate a corresponding recovery log entry when the failure condition clears. Providing both failure and recovery events would allow customers integrating NetBrain logs with external alerting and ITSM platforms to automatically close incidents when issues are resolved, reducing manual monitoring effort and improving incident lifecycle accuracy.
