I’m learning NetBrain automation. One project I’m working on is an automation task to update the Cisco trunk port descriptions to reflect the connected switch.I can use a paragraph parser to extract the trunk switch port and CDP neighbor and assign them to a variable using the command line: “show cdp neighbor detail”.This works to extract the switches CDP neighbors and assign variables for switch ports and the connected neighbor.However, when I add a remediation action, the individual switch port and CDP neighbor variable aren’t selectable. (The paragraph parse variable is selectable, but I don’t know if or how to use that object.)Is this behavior to be expected?Is there another way to obtain this information to perform this task?

Hi, I’ve got a intent where I am parsing the output of “show isis interface” and the L1/L2 metric is is on column. I need to get the L1 and L2 metric into separate variables which I have done. I need to have logic to see if metric is < or > a value. The the new variables are set to string and I can’t change them, when I click on them only string shows up. All the other variables that are default from the table I can change.Is there a secret to changing additional variables types that I am just missing? This is on R12.1 Thanks for any help

Does anyone have a solution to parse multiple lines with the same constant.  For example, it is easy to create a paragraph parser to parse both the switchport trunk allowed vlan and switchport trunk allowed vlan add commands, but it will only parse one of the switchport trunk allowed vlan add instances. The “add” option can appear a number of times under one interface.  interface GigabitEthernet7/12 switchport switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,11,19,21,194,240,400,403,413,451-454,511,552 switchport trunk allowed vlan add 660,666,667,672,711,719,725,810,820,830,832 switchport trunk allowed vlan add 833,961,965,966

I am having issue creating a parser for NXOS radius groups.   We recently migrated from one set of radius servers to another.   I would like to be able to parse the AAA groups and pull out the group name, servers part of the group, and any particular settings.   aaa group server radius radius     server 10.1.2.3    server 10.1.2.4     deadtime 0    use-vrf default    no source-interfaceaaa group server radius Active-AAA     server 10.2.3.4    server 10.2.3.5     deadtime 0    use-vrf default    source-interface mgmt0Seems like no matter what I do the parser will only pull first svr configured.    

Hello everyone, we just got our Netbrain setup with API access to Meraki and Velocloud via a proxy server. I was wondering if there was a repository for parser files for API calls outside of the built in parser files.  The parser file setup for API is a bit different than the other types of parser files and I am looking for more examples. Also, if there is a repository parser files to avoid the re-inventing the wheel scenario that would be great.

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to record and compare the differences in route tables over time for any router on our WAN. We use BGP so not sure if that makes any differnce as it should be just a show command and output of text from the CLI. I want to have a way to look back to see what changed on the device config (if at all) and the state of the live RIB vs the last saved/benchmarked RIB. If any of this is even possible could it be done as part of a scheduled task and some sort of alert to notify that something has changed? Thanks in advance.

I would like to perform parsing programmatically. So, what I want is to get the complete output of a “show command”/”snmp query” to a parser variable. Please help.
