Hello everyone, we just got our Netbrain setup with API access to Meraki and Velocloud via a proxy server. I was wondering if there was a repository for parser files for API calls outside of the built in parser files. The parser file setup for API is a bit different than the other types of parser files and I am looking for more examples. Also, if there is a repository parser files to avoid the re-inventing the wheel scenario that would be great.
Has anyone had any success in using the device NDP table data within a QApp? I can see the NDP table data in the NetBrain GUI, but it says the data is unavailable in the database when I run the QApp.
Hello I’m trying to create a parser for repeated use in my company. My goal is to identify intrefaces that haven’t been used in over 6 months by using the “sh int” command and parsing the “Last input” portion of the output.GigabitEthernet1/0/19 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect) Hardware is Gigabit Ethernet, address is 1111.1111.111 (bia 1111.1111.111) Description: Example MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit/sec, DLY 10 usec, reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255 Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set Keepalive set (10 sec) Auto-duplex, Auto-speed, media type is 10/100/1000BaseTX input flow-control is on, output flow-control is unsupported ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00 Last input 6w4d, output 6w4d, output hang never In theory this should be easy but because of how Cisco shows the dates it is fairly hard to put into a string and parse it. I have this so far as to identify interfaces:$int is $int_status, line protocol isAnd this for the last input port
Has anybody setup SNMP in ACI to use Netbrain to pull information?
When I calculate paths, the system creates duplicates of defined devices causing branches in the diagrams despite ultimately finding the correct path. My example is to calculate a path from the FrontServer to an switch at another facility. The system duplicates the first hop as both the defined gateway device and also an End System (not defined). The path for the end system ultimately fails, and the defined gateway device path works. I will also share that a Trace works correctly.Does anyone know how to prevent the undefined End System from being created?
Is there a report/export that will give you the fields in SDS such asMode: Access Mode: Port: Username: Privilege Username: Jumpbox for FS:as well as the usual device fields Device Name, Mgmt IP, etc….
Is there an option to create a report of all the devices with a configuration drift. Also know as a differential (diff) between device configurations and a golden config? Ideally I do not select each device and compare configurations.
I’m looking to create a Run Book or Intent that will show me mac addresses only for specific interfaces on a Cisco switch in support of a CRQ network change. I don’t want to see 20 or 30 interfaces, just the 5 I am changing. Then I’d like to compare a before and after on just those five interfaces.
Hello, could anybody share an experience how to overcome the limitations of site NetBrain site maps?Having a single L3 and L2 map available only, e.g.?Let’s say I’d like to create another L3 or L2 page focusing on DMZ only, showing more details (or other subnets/links) than the default L3 page used for the whole site?I know I can duplicate the default L3 or L2 page. But the duplicated page will not get the devices updated automatically. On the other hand: I was thinking about using the duplicated page as a “snapshot” of the default L3 or L2 page. But no matter of page settings I use, the links are always updated by daily benchmarks on the duplicated pages. So the only way to keep the links not updated is to save the map as a file to my private folder?Any ideas? Thanks,Milan
Hi Team, Can you please let me know how we can accomplish this in a Qapp - Sending email to stakeholders Only if certain conditions are met. Thanks !
Looking for some resolution on the above error. While discovering the device using seed discovery i am getting the below error:Failed:SNMP++ Get Error; SNMP++:SNMP request time outThe SNMP configuration on the network device is correct and using SNMP and SSH method for discovering the devices. Any help to t-shoot this issue.
I’m loading a new pair of servers I wondering if I should move the MongoDB to the a different drive then where the OS is running, I have 127 SDA and 250 SDB I think with the requirements in the for mongodb I would best install it on SDB drive or should I just delete the SDB and expand SDA?
Is there any way to apply more than one dataview within a single Qapp? I have created a Qapp that has two data tables, however even though you can create what looks like two dataviews, the definition of those only references Table 1 and I have not found a way to change the reference.
Do you have any device health check qapps? If not, how about this idea: check device hardware with various commands, e.g. Cisco's show module, show environmentshow moduleMod Ports Card Type Model Serial No.--- ----- -------------------------------------- ------------------ ----------- 4 48 48-port 10/100/1000 RJ45 EtherModule WS-X6148A-GE-TX x 5 5 Supervisor Engine 2T 10GE w/ CTS (Acti VS-SUP2T-10G xMod MAC addresses Hw Fw Sw Status--- ---------------------------------- ------ ------------ ------------ ------- 4 f 4.2 8.4(1) 15.5(1)SY8 Ok 5 d 1.3 12.2(50r)SYS 15.5(1)SY8 MajFailMod Sub-Module Model Serial Hw Status ---- --------------------------- ------------------ ----------- ------- ------- 5 Policy Feature Card 4 VS-F6K-PFC4 SAL16159W6L 1.
I have a runbook which has 2 Qapps and 1 Gapp, each of the Qapps generate Alerts based on the conditions and I can manually export the Alerts in csv format. Here, looking for a way to export the Alerts of Qapps/runbook using python or existing Netbrain APIs.
So when I run a show command on a device in my Domain within NetBrain it takes about 30 seconds to retrieve the live data from the device so some critical data about the device are not seen in the output or result. But when I ssh into the device itself and run the same show command, it takes about 120 seconds to complete, thus retrieves the total and accurate data needed. How do I extend the time for data retrieval through CLI on a specific device within my Domain in NetBrain, specifically taking into consideration the Front Server settings? Thanks!
Has anyone tackled this beast? I am trying to setup routing via Velocloud Edge devices. I am not able to use API or CLI due to the account’s setup. I am getting output but before I dug too deep into working on this, I didn’t know if there was something available. https://mibs.observium.org/mib/VELOCLOUD-EDGE-MIB/ .Mib: 1.3.6.1.4.1.45346.1.1.2.4.2.2.1.6 Has anyone here tried to create route maps via snmp?
has anyone setup a parser to populate a table containing license information for cisco switches?
Greetings, I have many Qapps that each generate a CSV Export File. I need to combine, roll-up the CSV Export Files into a single CSV Export File. How can that be accomplished? Cheers
Is there an option with adding a device with a pre-built configuration without having to be online for discovery? It will be used for path maps usage, but the customer didn’t want netbrain to have access to a few boxes on the network. We are talking about a few sites compared to the several thousand assets we have been able to discover. We didn’t want to have the situation where a gap in path calculations can occur.I am also thinking this could be useful for test environments to see how traffic will transverse the network. Thoughts?
Hello, can API node (blue cloud) retake or incept variable or column or column attributer from previous nodes? Not cleat what "Paramaters” are used for. No docs found. My use case is to process group of devices with REST API calls but I need to distinguish last device in que is being processed so final API call at the end with consolidated values can be triggered. Thanks
I have a path drawing from A-Z, how can I make it show active gre-tunnels as well on the same drawing only for Z device?I am also trying to recall how to add new node/ device on current path map and see connections from/to it? I have done that before but cannot recall it. Thanks
I have been dabbling with the Qapp Python scripting lately and i want to build a qapp wherein the user can have multiple end device ips as input and have their L2 connected switch and L3 Gateways automatically drawn on the map using one-ip-table information. However, looks like the gateways cannot be resolved by one ip table that’s why it is not being drawn. Then i noticed when the end device is drawn, i am able to see the L3 neighbor by extending the plus sign. Is there a Qapp API or a combination of them that can see the L3 neighbor? Or is there a better way to achieve this? Thank you! import PyDataModeloutput = GetOneIpTableItem($Input1.IP,"","","")output has no entry for gw.
Looking to see if the community has built a Network Change Runbook Template for doing IOS Upgrades?
