Compliance and NGFW Policy Audit?

Has anyone done NFGW Policy Audit with NetBrain automation (Rule Compliance, Access Compliance, Configuration Compliance) ?NetBrain collects the configuration, but there doesn't seem to be a build-in check relevant for businesses.Deleting unused rules also needs log information, but perhaps doable? SD-WAN, NFGW, and Cloud FW are usually under the special control and ownership of companies, i.e., there is interest, while the operator holds the WAN configuration. Even outsourced FW management, business need to audit compliance regulary. Of course, one option is to choose a separate FW Policy audit software, but if you have all config and digital twin it could be part of NB solution by default?

What would be the best way to verify (audit) using NetBrain that all devices in the multivendor network with power saving features are also configured and turned on? (Cisco EEE, IEEE 802.3az, HPE Aruba Green AP) - Electricity in Europe will be astronomically expensive by 2022.

Parser with multiple variables

Hello I’m trying to create a parser for repeated use in my company. My goal is to identify intrefaces that haven’t been used in over 6 months by using the “sh int” command and parsing the “Last input” portion of the output.GigabitEthernet1/0/19 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect) Hardware is Gigabit Ethernet, address is 1111.1111.111 (bia 1111.1111.111) Description: Example MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit/sec, DLY 10 usec, reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255 Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set Keepalive set (10 sec) Auto-duplex, Auto-speed, media type is 10/100/1000BaseTX input flow-control is on, output flow-control is unsupported ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00 Last input 6w4d, output 6w4d, output hang never In theory this should be easy but because of how Cisco shows the dates it is fairly hard to put into a string and parse it. Is there an option to create a report of all the devices with a configuration drift. Also know as a differential (diff) between device configurations and a golden config? Ideally I do not select each device and compare configurations.

Multiple Dataviews per Qapp

Is there any way to apply more than one dataview within a single Qapp? I have created a Qapp that has two data tables, however even though you can create what looks like two dataviews, the definition of those only references Table 1 and I have not found a way to change the reference.

How do I get started with Python Scripting? Are there any Code examples?

I’m reasonably familiar with python and other automation frameworks like Ansible. I’m trying replicate existing functionality we have via a python script within Netbrain via a Qapp. My plan is to pull data from devices and to manipulate the output with Python before returning a table/CSV to the user. I’m finding it fairly frustrating to get started with the python element in terms of feeding the data into the python script and outputting the data. Are there any good resources for learning this element or any code samples? The documentation I’ve seen doesn’t appear to focus on this element at all.

API Support - User Details

Where is the best place to get support for API related questions? The API is maintained on GitHub, which has its own built in issue tracker. Our support contract gives me access to the support portal where I can open tickets. The Exchange gives me access to the Netbrain community. Which is the “best” place to get support for API issues? Specifically, when I send an authenticated request to the CMDB/Users API endpoint and I provide the authentication server, username, tenant, and domain parameters, I get back just basic user information for the given user. If I don’t specify anything except the admin account name I get back a lot more data. I’m assuming by not specifying tenant and domain, the API is pulling data at the system level for the username instead of the domain level. For user tracking and auditing, I need to be able to get back the detailed data for domain users as well as system level users.
