I was wondering how everyone backs up their mongo database? Are you using mongodump or 3rd party backup software?
I am new to Netbrain and I am trying to add the device to the Netbrain through the API call. What would be the correct API call that I need to perform to add a device to netbrain.
I’m working in an inherited Netbrain install. One pair of our Palo Alto NGFWs only show HA and management interfaces, none of the physical ethernet interfaces. This causes issues when searching paths that run through these firewalls. A path search that traverses this firewall will start with a switch directly connected to the firewall. If the next hop from the layer 3 switch is an ethernet interface/zone on the Palo Alto, Netbrain places an End System on the map. The end system’s IP address is the one assigned to the PA ethernet interface. The path ends with this “end system” (and a Path Failed message: Gateway device was not found), as there is no apparent discovered route from the source zone to the destination zone in the firewall, and then to the eventual destination. When viewing the firewall’s config in Netbrain, the physical interfaces are listed, along with the virtual router’s associated zones, corresponding interfaces and routes. +++In comparison, a different pair of Palo Alt
Hello, I do have 4 cisco leave switches in a DC and I would like to check if all of them have the same vlans and vlan description on it.The possibel diff between the 4 shall be shown to the user.An Q-APP or an Intent would be great. It shall be the same functionality as a runbook (Diff) provides but for n switches and in an automation.A golden template would not work here as we do have multiple DC`s with different vlan´s, so we just need a comparism possibility here.br
Does anyone have a solution to parse multiple lines with the same constant. For example, it is easy to create a paragraph parser to parse both the switchport trunk allowed vlan and switchport trunk allowed vlan add commands, but it will only parse one of the switchport trunk allowed vlan add instances. The “add” option can appear a number of times under one interface. interface GigabitEthernet7/12 switchport switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,11,19,21,194,240,400,403,413,451-454,511,552 switchport trunk allowed vlan add 660,666,667,672,711,719,725,810,820,830,832 switchport trunk allowed vlan add 833,961,965,966
Hi everyone,A couple of days ago suddenly in Service Monitor the data server is showing as offline and all services stopped. The thing is that actually the data service is on and responsive, and service monitor agent is running as well as all of the services. An even stranger thing is that when I restart the FS the data server appears as Connected with all the services running, but after a couple of seconds it goes back to Disconnected.Any ideas on this? Our Netbrin version is 10.1.15.10 in case is needed.
Hi again everyone. Is there a way to not to check SSH credentials in a Palo Alto Firewall in Netbrain? Our firewall rejects those kind of auth attempts (as many other FW do) so it appears as a validation error in the map and seeing it red is kind of nerve wracking. Thanks in advance
I need guidance in comprehending the data flow and how the various NetBrain components(Worker/TaskEngine/FSC/Redis/RabbitMQ/Elasticsearch/DB) are used when an end user initiates a task through the browser-based thin client.
Is there a way to ‘expose’ a Dashboard to other team members that are not logged into Netbrain??Kind of like the ‘Functional Portal’ exposes maps, one ip table, or paths to members without using a seat license. Thank you,John ThomasonQuest Diagnostics
On my Cisco 9400 switches, some have an SSD inserted and some don’t. I am trying to find a way to report on those who do have an SSD. The only way I know to check is to issue the show hardware command (the lines in green appear if the SSD is installed): ncmc-svsw-es03#show hardware...cisco C9407R (X86) processor (revision V01) with 1841385K/6147K bytes of memory.Processor board ID FOX2717PJK13 Virtual Ethernet interfaces144 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces16 Ten Gigabit Ethernet interfaces4 Forty Gigabit Ethernet interfaces32768K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.15995688K bytes of physical memory.11161600K bytes of Bootflash at bootflash:.1638400K bytes of Crash Files at crashinfo:.234430023K bytes of SATA hard disk at disk0:.1638400K bytes of Crash Files at crashinfo-1-1:.11161600K bytes of Bootflash at bootflash-1-1:.234430023K bytes of SATA hard disk at disk0-1-1:.Base Ethernet MAC Address : 58:56:9f:56:cb:40Motherboard Assembly Number : 4A39Motherboard Serial
Hello team, Is possible search in oneIPTable database by string ? In whole database ? Or use regular expression ? Problem is that when I open it via GUI a try search it goes via every field in database and is searching string as I type it to search. But when I want do it via REST API I can only go through rows with one Key IP, old DNS, MAC et. But o want to go through whole database and find every device that contains in hostname for example backbone.
Does anyone have device configuration breakup parser for cisco nexus devices.I see it available for cisco router devices but can’t be use for cisco nexus devices since catalyst devices configurations by exclamation (!) but same is not available in case of cisco nexus devices.
I created a Network Intent that exports diagnosis to CSV, which works great when used in an auto-intent on a map, but we want to run this on thousands of devices and need a way to run/export these results to one spreadsheet. A “map intent” has a limit of 1k command execution (so, up to 1k devices running one command on each).I created an ADT table with 2k devices, added the Network Intent, but when ran the intents in the ADT, I ended up with 2k spreadsheets of results from each device. Is there a way to export the NI diagnostics for 2k devices into one spreadsheet?
Hi All, Is there a way to get the complete hostname displayed for a device on a map.. currently when the hostname is longer it trims off some part of the hostname. seems to happen for both compact and expanded mode. also if we could add the model and ios also on the expanded mode instead of the generic “device type”
Does anyone have a Qapp that will help conduct a network speed test (like iperf)? I want to automate a periodic test to prove speed over a longer period of time.
Hello, I am looking to put an auto-intent into a runbook. Reason being is that I can export the diagnosis output of intents into a word document. I dont think its natively possible to add an auto intent or auto intent profile into a runbook. Are there any work arounds? Any easy ways to add an auto intent/auto intent profile into a QAPP? Then add the QAPP into a runbook? The auto intents are crucial as the replication logic is something we will use all the time due to different environments, hostnames etc - hence discounting common intents without the auto-replication via auto intent. Thanks
I had an oopsi and now cannot get my front server reconnected. In the 2 server deployment I accidently hit yes on the uninstall front server controller and then it no longer accepted the credentials but I do believe I was using the same credentials. One of the tests were successful for reconnecting to the front server but yet it would never reconnect. So I thought why not jump back another level and uninstall FS and FSC and start over, now I have even less than I previously had. Suggestions on how to not lose a ton of work but get this deployment healthy again?
We have been asked to setup NB Chatbot and let you query the One-IP table with ‘IP Address or MAC” and get the results of Connected Switch port, Gateway, LanSegment information within the Bot. currently the Chatbot accepts inputs via ‘Intent, Intent Template or ADT’ we have to use one of these. so is there way we can define intent to call ‘One-IP table’ to get the results via chatbot ?
I see an option option to parse json tables, however, I am not able to populate the “Data Scope”, which prevents me from moving forward. Is there a step that I’m missing? Snippet of the config: Device:[ { "_id": "abcdefg12345", "address": "", "dn": "abcdefg12345", "isRealDev": true, "isRealIntf": false, "mac": "abcdefg12345", "model": "device_model 1000", "name": "abcdefg12345", "networkName": "abcdefg12345", "opTime": { "$date": 1711950376000 }, "role": "primary", "serial": "abcd-efg1-2345", "tags": [ "recently-added" ], "wan1Ip": "100.100.100.100", "wan2Ip": null
How do we call the ‘Pre-collected’ data tables from an ‘Intent’ ? attached the screen shot shows how to do from Qapp. but looking to do this same tables from an intent.
Could anybody share some success story how to arrange a NetBrain map hierarchy for big sites? When there is a huge site with hundreds/thousands of devices, it would be worth to start with a top level map showing how particular buildings are connected each to the others. And then to go deeper to particular buildings, floors, racks …I’d like to create site maps containing devices plus icons representing links to other maps. But with site maps restrictions like “any device can be visible in a single leaf map only” and “no device can be visible in a container site, just leaf sites” I don’t see any easy way how to create a site map hierarchy. Thanks,Milan
Description:We are creating a Paragraph parser. There are variables we want to store inside the paragraph; however, we’re only seeing a way to store the first instance as a variable. Here’s an example of our command output: Addresses, Flags: Is-Preferred Is-Primary Destination: 1.2.3.4, Local: 1.2.3.4, Broadcast: Unspecified, Generation: 1 Addresses, Flags: None Destination: Unspecified, Local: 1.2.3.4, Broadcast: Unspecified, Generation: 1 Addresses, Flags: Is-Preferred Destination: 1.2.3.4, Local: 1.2.3.4, Broadcast: Unspecified, Generation: 1 Addresses, Flags: None Destination: Unspecified, Local: 1.2.3.4, Broadcast: Unspecified, Generation: 1Question:Our paragraph identifier starts above with “Logical Interface”. In output we’re sharing (above) we want to store each Address and Destinastion as a variable; however, we want them tied to that logical interface. Would this need to be done through a script (regex compile) or can we iterate
is it possible to add many cli command in one parser. version R11.1bex show version. show run | sec vtyI am trying to create a parser to run multiple show commands to check some security compliancy. see picture attached. thanks Hani,
We have some Infoblox DHCP/DNS servers that I’d like to poll DHCP scope usage and if above a certain percent, fire off an email. I’d like to display this scope usage data on a dashboard too if possible. I know the data is there in SNMP https://docs.infoblox.com/space/nios85/35418019/SNMP+MIB+Hierarchyhttps://docs.infoblox.com/space/nios85/35418019/SNMP+MIB+Hierarchy#ibDHCPOne-MIB I’m trying to figure out the best way to do this. Would I write a qapp for this? I can’t seem to find any up to date guides on how to grab this data, parse it, and present it.
Hello. NetBrain R11.1I’d like to pull SFP DOM information to trigger warnings / alarms when threshold values are met.
