CISCO devices has function to add timestamp after each command that is issued (“ service timestamps ”).In the change analysis are devices always displayed as a change occurred even though there is only different timestamp.I would like to have function/plugin, that will delete the timestamp from config backup.
Use case:We have scheduled weekly Auto discovery. So, the device count is changing over the time. At the same time I use ADT as a source for Golden Intent checks. Each time the number devices change or there is an update in ADT that is source for golden intent I need to Run & Publish either only for golden intent or for both golden feature and golden intent.I would like to have some automation to reflect in change of number of devices or ADT source table.I would like to ask to consider this feature.Created NetBrain Case #00177886
I would like to suggest a feature, that would allow to get result of the golden intent and pass it into the network intent. There is already function that can be called from network intent to get result of “Golden config”, but there is not such option for “Golden intent”.Therefore I would like to suggest to consider to add it as a new feature.Case Number 00177931
I would like to suggest to consider adding option to move items within "Golden parameter/Config parameter".As the items are searched from top to bottom I want to have some more general rules at the end.If I want to insert more specific rule before them I need to delete all and create them in required order. Would be good to have option to move an item UP or DOWN.Case 00177563
Use case:I am running golden intent to validate if Cisco IOS version has desired version. In golden intent I use “external intent”In external intent I call a QAPP for downloading new IOS.Once QAPP finish download I have set to draw a note next to device with download result. The note is not shown. Probably it’s not supported for follow-up QAPP.I would like to ask to consider this feature.Created NetBrain Case #00177885
I would like to suggest an idea in “golden intent” as an action type beside existing options: “parser”, “golden config check” and “Neighbor device” I would like to suggest to add “build in data”.Use case: I can compare build in data OS version with OS version, that I have stored in ADT table.Ticket 00177932
I have push back from management, that capability of change runbook are not real automation as there is manual intervention needed in each step of the runbook node.I would like to have runbook, where I can create step of nodes, where I will define benchmarks before and after. I want to have a node with pre-check, for example Qapp to test if it’s safe to proceed with implementation of change. Only if the test is passed the change part would be executed. The use case is to run IOS upgrade with defined runbook, that can be executed on 1 click
In runbook is a node, that have capabilities to compare benchmarks. I would like to add option to ignore information like: uptime from cisco show version, or interface statistics from show interface commands, so I can compare only relevant information.Or there should be option to show only the table compare. For example if in benchmark I select, that I want device information, the compare should compare only information in the table and not directly the source commands.
We have a lot of end systems and I want to show information about the them.We have 3d party monitoring system “Checkmk”.I want to use call Checkmk API from netbrain to add information about the end systems - hostname, OS system etc. I want to find out, if monitoring systems knows about the devices, that NetBrain was not able to discover.
Under: Domain Management/Data Accuracy ResolutionI can see “groups of devices” where for example: Last CLI configuration Retrieval Failed, SNMP configuration Devices.I would like to create access group from entire category. At the moment there is option to add devices one by one, what doesn’t scale well. There is option to export export list of devices list, but when I want to import this list to make device group it doesn’t work. I would like to have either:1.) button under each category to add all devices into a group2.) have export to CSV in Domain Management/Data Accuracy Resolution have compatible with import of devices in device group.
Hi,using the command “show power-stack neighbors” you could also show how Cisco devices are connected via the power stacks. Power stacks and the way they are connected is quite important, an incorrect connection will make the redundancy invalid. But please keep the power stack connection separate from path tracing ;) .
When using a Scheduled Qapp, I can have the result sent by email for which an address field is provided. Problem is that I have several scheduled Qapps with email output and they all use the same subject. I would like to see a field for a custom subject to make differentiation and email handling easier.ThanksCarsten
This idea is to create an option that allows the user to select the sorting method they prefer for the commands on the CLI Runbook. For the CLI execution in the runbook, after the commands are executed, they are sorted in alphabetical order. At one time, this was not the case. They were left in the order in which they are added to the runbook.I prefer to see and scroll through the commands in the order I add them to the runbook. I do not want them to be re-sorted in any other way. However, Netbrain support tells me this is not likely to be changed unless there is enough support for it from this community.Do any of you think this idea would be a benefit?
