NetBrain currently discards Triggered Automation Framework requests, such as those received from ServiceNow, if they arrive while the platform is unavailable due to maintenance, upgrade, patch updates, or an HA failover, and no mechanism exists to recover or process them once service is restored. This enhancement would introduce a queueing mechanism that holds incoming TAF requests during a period of platform unavailability and automatically executes them once the platform returns to a healthy state. Customers relying on automated diagnosis workflows would benefit from reduced manual troubleshooting effort and more consistent incident coverage, since requests would no longer be silently lost during planned or unplanned downtime.
NetBrain currently has no mechanism to monitor the expiration status of system-level SSL/TLS certificates used by internal services and alert administrators before they expire. As a result, certificate expiration can go undetected until a service failure occurs, leading to unplanned downtime and reactive troubleshooting. This enhancement would introduce a monitoring capability that tracks certificate expiration dates for system services and issues proactive alerts within a configurable time window before expiration. Providing early visibility into upcoming certificate expirations would allow administrators to renew certificates ahead of time, reducing the risk of service outages caused by expired certificates.
NetBrain's Change Management module currently limits the Pre-Approval option to TAF-based changes, with no equivalent capability available for PAF-based changes. This enhancement would extend the Pre-Approval capability to PAF changes, allowing customers to apply the same approval workflow consistently across both change types. Extending this support would give customers uniform governance and approval controls regardless of which change framework they use, reducing confusion and manual workarounds.
NetBrain currently does not recognize a Network Connectivity Center (NCC) Hub as a valid next hop when parsing GCP VPC route tables, and does not capture dynamic routes present in those tables. As a result, path calculation for GCP environments using NCC Hub connectivity produces incomplete or incorrect paths. This enhancement would extend GCP route table parsing to correctly identify NCC Hub next hops and include dynamic routes, enabling the path engine to build accurate end-to-end paths across NCC-connected VPCs. Customers using GCP Network Connectivity Center for hybrid or multi-VPC connectivity would gain reliable path visibility, reducing manual verification and troubleshooting effort.
Deep Diagnosis currently supports only a single-pass interaction model, requiring users to initiate a new session rather than continue engaging with the system based on prior diagnostic output. This enhancement would introduce a continuous chat capability, allowing users to ask follow-up questions and iterate on Deep Diagnosis results within the same conversational context. Customers would benefit from a more efficient troubleshooting workflow, enabling deeper investigation without the need to restart or manually re-establish diagnostic context.

Customers operating Ciena L3 switches would benefit from consistent, out-of-the-box configuration compliance and assessment coverage without needing to build custom checks for these devices.
NetBrain currently requires users to enter a literal IP address, and a port number when applicable, into the path destination field each time a path calculation is performed, offering no way to reference a destination by a friendly, memorable name. This enhancement would allow administrators to predefine named aliases that map to a specific IP address and port combination, so that users can enter the alias directly in the destination field and have NetBrain resolve it to the correct IP address and port. This would reduce lookup effort and input errors for frequently referenced destinations, improving efficiency for teams who repeatedly troubleshoot paths to the same critical systems.
Network Intent currently checks critical-variable availability before replication, preventing replication when required data is missing, but this same check does not apply at execution time. As a result, executing a replicated intent against an unreachable device or one that fails data collection causes the verification logic to treat missing data as a deviation, generating compliance warnings that do not reflect an actual configuration problem. This enhancement would extend the existing critical-variable availability check to execution, allowing execution to pass or return a distinct non-alerting status when required data cannot be retrieved, while reserving warnings for cases where data was collected and genuinely deviates from the intent. Consistent gating between replication and execution would reduce false positives caused by device unreachability, keep compliance alerts meaningful, and lower the manual effort required to distinguish unreachable devices from genuinely misconfigured ones.
NetBrain currently applies a fixed approach to management interface selection during discovery, without allowing administrators to define a preferred order among multiple management interfaces based on device type or device group. This enhancement would introduce configurable interface selection priority rules that can be set per device type or device group, so discovery consistently uses the intended management interface. Customers managing diverse device fleets would benefit from more predictable and accurate discovery results, reducing the need for manual correction after discovery runs.
NetBrain currently does not support Aruba Fabric Composer (AFC) as an API source type, which prevents discovery of devices managed through that platform. This enhancement would add Aruba Fabric Composer as a selectable API source type within API Server Manager, enabling discovery and modeling of associated devices alongside other supported platforms. Customers running Aruba Fabric Composer-managed environments would gain complete device visibility without relying on manual workarounds.
The Python API documentation page is currently unavailable, leaving customers without direct access to reference material needed for building and maintaining integrations. This enhancement proposes restoring the documentation page and establishing a process to keep it updated as the API evolves. Reliable access to accurate documentation supports customers who depend on the Python API for automation and reduces friction in development and troubleshooting efforts.
