We have a scenario where we are trying to search for a Cisco VoIP device using the standard search box on the dashboard. We have the switches added to Netbrain but the VoIP phones are not. The the sake of this example the devices hostname is SEP010203ABCDEF and it’s MAC address is 01:02:03:AB:CD:EF. The Hostname for a Cisco VoIP phone is usually SEP followed by the MAC address without any punctuation. The NDP table on the switch has the information to show that the device is a neighbour so in some capacity Netbrain could be aware of the name.. Searching for SEP010203ABCDEF reveals no results. Searching for 010203ABCDEF reveals no results Searching for 0102.03AB.CDEF returns a direct match in the ARP cache of the switch Searching for 01:02:03:AB:CD:EF returns a match for the MAC in the cisco format above in the ARP cache of the switch The ideal here is to search for the hostname in the easiest and quickest way possible. While modifying the name each time can be done to produce a correct

I want to reinstall the database server but when I am installation the Netbrain latest v10 it is showing me the following below error:  A previous version has been installed. I already uninstalled the mongodb and other related services from the server but still getting this error. Don't want to upgrade database just want to do wipe all the netbrain configuration 

Hi all , I am reaching to out to forum for assistance  on managing ICMP only enabled devices. I am working on architecture for laying out diagnostic approach for set of 60k devices. Out of 60 , i have 16K devices which are only ICMP enable by customer due to various security limitations and compliance. NO SNMP& SSH to these 16kK Device. During discovery will there 16K devices consume NB license as usual ? What all capabilities diagnostics approach will be present by ICMP only connection . Can these ICMP only devices contribute to effective diagnostic capability what Netbrain has to offer,  Any suggestion /recommendation to manage this set of devices is welcome and appreciated by community. RegardPrateek

I found some sensitive info has not been encrypted as ***, what should be the reason?As I know we have an option in advanced setting of the domain management page, but I dont know how to confiugre it.  

Is there way to monitor or log users’ actives in Netbrain? Such as adding devices to Netbrain or removing them from Netbrain?

When I tried to discover my Cisco router, it didn’t give me the CLI configuration file… I can see from the log that there is an error “Connecting failed, error code: 1080, error description: Timeout.”.Is there any setting I can change to make it work?

I have a router that failed to retrieve route table, the live access checks fine. The retrieval log says following, how can I increase the route table entry limit to retrieve the route table? The number of entries(156321) in the route table cmd show route table inet.0|no-more exceeds the limit of route entries.

Hi guys,We cannot discover devices via Linux Jumpbox. The discovery log shows below:Front Server CLI timeout(30 seconds), disconnect to Jumpbox x.x.x.x target device y.y.y.y, last received: [Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?]Try to set the Yes/No Prompt, still not working. Any ideas how to resolve it?

I need to export all audit logs of Netbrain into a file or database on monthly basis. How to export "audit logs" from "System Management" to a csv file ?

While doing administrator tasks on Netbrain, there could arise a requirement to check whether the devices were discovered via SNMP instead of CLI. Build a qapp with canvas containing device queue, followed by ‘script’ node. Use the below API in script from netbrain.sysapi import datamodeldevices = $thisfor device in devices:    snmp_status = datamodel.GetDeviceProperty("isSNMPConfig", device)         

If you want to use SNMPWalk on a device, this is the way to do it:Open Parser Library.Under My Parsers use the dropdown menu and select New Advanced Parser.When the new parser opens, select SNMP and SNMPWalk.In the OID field type 1. to start at the top of the MIB.After clicking on Retrieve, you can select a device.

I have added special CLI commands to my daily benchmarks. One example is "show running config vdc-all" on my Cisco Nexus'. This command will get all configurations of all Virtual Device Contexts of this device and save them to the CLI Commands tab of the Device Details.My question now for this and other commands is: Is the data in CLI commands analyzed and processed and then provided as additional information in data views and qapps or is it just collected and available for viewing and/or searching?Specific for this command: would all mgmt IPs of all VDC be added to the device as mgmt ports with IP address?

I’ve enabled this option in NB 10 Integrated Edition. However, I cannot find where to set the path to the 3rd party SSH/Telnet client. Any help is appreciated.
