has anyone setup a parser to populate a table containing license information for cisco switches?

Hello, 

 

You can check if the parser is available in the library by searching with command name. Need not to worry if the parser is not created/available. Its easy to create parser, for example if you want to create parser for “show license summary” below is a simple example with steps:

 

Step 1: Choose New Parser by clicking on + symbol from quick access bar.

 

Step 2: Define parser name, then choose the data source as “CLI command”, enter the command, and choose from which device you want to extract sample command output. 

 

Step 3: Now NetBrain will try to extract the command output from the selected device.

 

Step 4: As the command output looks like a paragraph pattern you can choose “Paragraph parser”  and try to filter the variable as shown in below:

 

Note: You can also click on “Tips” button shown on top right of the Define Variables section that can show detailed documentation of different types of parser types with some good examples.
