Consider adding ‘Tool Tips’ to parts of NetBrain screens that utilize acronyms. For example: in Device Details, there are 5 acronyms related to the various ‘device tables’ available. I don’t typically use some of these, so the acronym becomes un-useful to me, as I can’t recall what it is. I’ve got a whole dictionary of ‘Other’ three-letter-acronyms to keep track of, so having a ‘Tool Tip’ that pops up after say 2 or 3 seconds would be useful.
The same could also be done for MAC Addresses, whereby a ‘Mouse Over’ hover that lasted say 2-3 seconds would trigger a MAC Address (Media Access Control Address) OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier) -- See there’s another couple) lookup using site lookups or API calls from sites such as:
- https://www.wireshark.org/tools/oui-lookup.html
- https://macaddress.io/
- https://www.macvendorlookup.com/api
- https://macvendors.com/
- https://maclookup.app/api-v2/documentation
This would save time, and maintain the ‘flow’ of staying within NetBrain, and would be a very helpful addition. :-)
