Redistribute Devices Evenly Among Front Servers

Hi @Carsten.Schmidt We are trying to release a plugin to redistribute devices evenly among front servers, i will create a case for you so that we can push the fix to your server when it’s available.  In the future release, we will add the Front Server Group back.

This is Lindsay from PM team. Thank you for this idea and this is currently under PM’s consideration. To help us develop this feature completely fit your need, may I ask why do you need to evenly distribute devices among front server? is there specific task you need to accomplish?

as described above I added a new front server to the two already in service. The new FS has 0 devices assigned to it, the other two have roughly 4500 each. Now I had to manually create a device group to assign devices to the new FS. Since I use a device group, the selection is not random but based on certain device criteria, i.e. I move devices from a certain site or all Cisco devices to the new FS.
It would be easiest if there were a function to select the front servers and do a redistribution.
