NetBrain currently maintains SNMP credentials and SSH credentials as separate, unconnected lists during discovery. When a device is successfully identified using a specific SNMP credential, NetBrain does not limit subsequent SSH login attempts to a corresponding SSH credential, and instead may fail to attempt the correct SSH credential associated with that SNMP match. This enhancement would allow administrators to pair specific SNMP credentials with specific SSH credentials, so that once a device is discovered using a given SNMP credential, discovery automatically attempts only the associated SSH credential for CLI access. Customers managing environments with multiple credential sets would benefit from more accurate and efficient discovery, reduced unnecessary login attempts, and lower risk of account lockouts caused by mismatched credential testing.
