Currently we have snapping and I’m excited about that. Currently it is only vertical and horizontal.
I would like to see different "Grids" for the layout of the map that you can use to “Snap” your device icons to. These snap grids would come in Hexagonal, trianglular, isometric, honeycomb,etc. basically faint guidelines in different shapes (match the shape of the devices to the shape of the map grids.
