One issue we tend to have, is that our large site maps can change from time to time, and while you can set the benchmark to update maps automatically, it resets positioning as well. Having to re-drag 10 switches is easy, 300+ switches, not so much. There is a semi-workaround where you set the map layout, then unset it in the map layout manager. But it’s a very convoluted process that is easily broken if someone doesn’t know any better.
It would be nice, both in the benchmark and within the map, that when you update maps, there’s advanced options.
My suggestions for enable/disable check boxes:
- Update Devices (Adds new ones, removes old ones)
- Update Links
- Reset device positions to default map layout.
