Driver support for CIENA 6500 Packet-Optical Platform

NetBrain does not currently support discovery of the CIENA 6500 Packet-Optical Platform, since existing Ciena drivers are limited to Ciena Switch and Ciena L3 Switch device types, which do not correspond to this Layer 1 optical device. Access to these devices requires TL1-based commands over SSH or Telnet, which the current driver set does not support. This enhancement would introduce a new discovery and benchmark driver for the CIENA 6500 Packet-Optical Platform, supporting TL1-based command retrieval to collect device configuration and topology data. Customers operating optical transport infrastructure between Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices would benefit from complete end-to-end topology visualization that includes Layer 1 optical links, rather than requiring manual mapping of these connections.
