NetBrain path calculation can select an incorrect hop when a route entry is recursive and multiple candidate routes exist in the routing and BGP tables, even though the underlying tables clearly indicate which route is active. This results in the computed path diverging from the actual forwarding behavior of the network, reducing confidence in the visualized path. This enhancement would improve the path calculation logic to correctly resolve recursive routes by consistently honoring the active route marked in the routing and BGP tables, rather than defaulting to a non-active entry. Accurate path resolution in these scenarios would give customers confidence that the visualized active path reflects the true forwarding path, reducing troubleshooting time and manual verification effort.
