I am new to Netbrain and still learning it's capabilities.
We have 1500 cisco routers which are setup in different networks (sites) and we need to change the host names of all of them.
We need to know if it there is a way to change those host names using a bulk method by using a CSV or excel file.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

To push a config change to a live device and have NetBrain track it as a governed "Change" (approval, rollback, before/after validation, Change Task record), the Change Management (CM) module must be licensed. This licensing requirement applies to generating the Change Task itself—not to how the data was loaded.
For the data side: yes, you can bulk-import all 1,500 target hostnames via CSV directly into an Automation Data Table ("ADT)—"Imported CSV" is a supported ADT base-table method. An Intent Column bound to that ADT can then run in batch and, through Remediation, generate a Change Task to push each new hostname and validate the change.
One correction: importing via ADT does not bypass the CM license requirement. The Remediation → Change Task step is CM-gated regardless of whether the data came from an ADT/CSV import or a Set Table by CSV inside a Network Intent. So CM still needs to be licensed to execute this as a governed change
