Currently, you can define an MPLS object that NB is able to use for pathing. You have the ability to use the Internet Cloud Object for mapping purposes, but it does not affect a trace. Has anyone done something similar? Essentially “You’ve hit the internet, congratulations!”, or just a manually defined “dummy” object that’s also connected to the cloud.

Based on practical experience, we can use a static interface on the last-hop device as the egress interface to define the Internet cloud.
Once the traffic reaches the last-hop device’s egress interface, the path should show a successful status.

+1Are you aware of any issues if the egress interface is a Layer 3 VLAN rather than a standard routed interface?
