CISCO devices has function to add timestamp after each command that is issued (“ service timestamps ”).

In the change analysis are devices always displayed as a change occurred even though there is only different timestamp.

I would like to have function/plugin, that will delete the timestamp from config backup.

Hi Martin,

I’m currently looking into your question and checking with the team internally. I’ll get back to you with an update as soon as I have more information.

I appreciate your patience!

To define custom comparison logic, you can configure this in the Device Driver Properties by following these steps:

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Navigate to System Management > Advanced Settings and " Enable Debug Mode for Maintaining Built-in Resources" and save.
  2. Next, go to Tenant Management > Multi-Vendor Support > Device Driver.
  3. Locate and select the device driver you want to modify.
  4. In the device settings, find and select the Config File.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom-left corner, where you’ll find the Define Comparison Logic option.

Note:

  • Ignore functions do not apply to CLI commands; they are only effective for configuration files.

@Mohamed_Arabi is is possible to ignore only 1 part of the line, but not entire line. For example in BGP summary I would like to ignore uptime, but not rest of the line.

Does an update from NetBrain overwrite the changes in driver that I will make?

Hi @Martin Szarka ,
Here is the answer to your questions:

  1. We can only ignore the whole line; it’s not possible to ignore just part of a line.

  2. A KC update will overwrite the built-in resource. If you want to define it yourself, you can save the driver as customized—then it will not be overwritten.
